ABOUT PEKJON
European designer Ahmet Pekcan is known for creating opulent eyewear and has garnered a lot of retail and media attention because of his unique approach to embellishing and customizing eyewear.
Pekjon treats his work like fine art and calls the collection; “Eyes For Art”. Each hand painted and hand made frame is produced in a very limited number (600). Frames are manufactured in France by a very prestigious eyewear manufacturer in Europe.
“ I absolutely design for discerning ladies, who understand the blend of fashion and art and who appreciate exquisite craftsmanship.” states Pekcan.
His art pieces are sought by women who desire to display their femininity and make their own fashion statement.
For 18 years, Pekcan resided in Istanbul Turkey (Turkiye) where he experienced the way that European and Mediterranean art and culture have been embracing each other in perfect harmony for centuries. This blend of cultures is reflected in his unusual designs, which is an other feature extremely appreciated by his clients.
During his four year stay in England, Pekcan studied European art and English language at Oxford. He continued his education in the United States as an Interior Designer and Architecture student while attending the University Of Missouri Columbia - UMC.
After years of designing fashion jewelry, he discovered that women were constantly searching for ways to enhance their beauty. Custom painted and embellished eyewear was the niche he found.
